Lizz Redd

Artist Statement:
All my life I’ve wanted to create with my hands.  Many media – wood and metals, organic and found objects – have captured my attention, though no material has enchanted me like glass. After four years, I am still mesmerized and committed to it. For me, true art is in the process, not the product. It's a great pleasure to learn a new skill or find a new way to approach glass (like mixing it with metal and driftwood). I strive to make art that awakens curiosity and is visually captivating. Nature, humor/play and curves are all recurring themes I explore.
